Clients
Swedish legal matters for international clients.
Foreign companies, investors, entrepreneurs and private individuals come to Swedish law with different purposes: a contract, a company, a property, an employee or a family arrangement. Our task is to explain the Swedish legal position clearly and to tell you when counsel in another country should also be involved.
01
Orientation
When Swedish law is part of the matter.
A Swedish connection may be a company on the register, a contract to be performed in Sweden, land or shares held here, an employee working here, or a family arrangement that includes a person or an asset in Sweden. Those facts decide whether Swedish law is the starting point, the whole of the file, or only part of it.
Foreign clients often need a clear account of Swedish company, contract, property or immigration rules before a transaction proceeds. They also need an early view of which questions cannot be answered from Sweden alone. We organise the Swedish issues and identify where locally qualified counsel should be involved for issues governed elsewhere.

Readers
Businesses, investors and individuals.
Foreign companies
A company that wishes to contract into Sweden, to establish a subsidiary, or to register a branch is making a structural choice. Each form allocates liability, authority and filing differently. Our early questions are who is signing, in what capacity, and which law the documents already choose.
Investors
An acquisition of a Swedish company or of Swedish land is both a commercial bargain and a set of legal persons. Title, authority, filings and the contract itself have to be read together. A group name is not a substitute for the company that will hold the asset.
Private clients
Marriage property, gifts, succession and personal arrangements may be wholly Swedish or may involve another country. Where they cross a border, the question of which rules apply is often as important as the Swedish rule itself.
03
Beginning
What helps a first conversation.
The most useful way to begin is a concise email to us with the following particulars.
The parties
The companies or people as they appear in the documents, including a Swedish organisation number if one is already on the page.
The countries
The places already named: of incorporation, of performance, of residence, or of a chosen court or seat.
The papers
A signed contract, a working draft, a court paper, or no paper at all. Share only what you are free to share.
The question
What you need to know, stated in a few sentences. We listen to your objective, and we read it against the documents.
